This tool allows you to set the boundaries of your map. You can set it so the weather in your map is constant rain, or make the time of day as night. Use the Environment Settings tool to set the time of day, clouds, weather ambiance, as well as the level of water in your map. This will allow you to experiment with the theme of your map. Assign a texture to an empty slot, then paint it in your map. The Paint Texture tool allows you to apply different textures to your terrain. You can change the type of vegetation of a given slot at any time, allowing you to experiment with different themes. You basically pick what you want and paint it onto the map. The Collection System allows you to add vegetation and trees to your map. The rest of the options are nothing but decorations that enhance the map, and there are hundreds of objects with which to experiment. Thematics are basically the set pieces, such as buildings. Gameplay allows you to place objects that affect the gameplay, such as explosives, wildlife, or NPCs. Game Modes will allow you to place objects related to the various game modes, such as objectives and spawn points. With this option, you can add objects to your map, as well as edit the ones that are already placed. You can raise and lower the terrain to your liking, including Bumping, Flattening, Raising/Lowering, Smoothing, creating a Ramp, Eroding, and many more things with the terrain. These tools allow you to sculpt the terrain in any way you see fit. Performace indicates how well your map will play, with the more it moves to your left, the more slow and laggy the map will be. Memory and Objects are how much stuff you can place in a map. At the top of the screen are three things you should look at, which are Memory, Objects, and Performance. It is important to note that with any map you create, you have to keep track of a few things. When you go into a map, you have plenty of options in which to create whatever you want. When you first access the Map Editor, you have the options to create a new map, create a new empty map, generate a map, look at maps you created, or exit the editor. The Map Editor allows you to create your own map for use in multiplayer.
